COVID-19 Guidelines in place for 2020 athletic events at Thompson High School

ALABASTER, AL August 13, 2020 Thompson High School is excited to kick off the 2020 football season as we host the Oxford Yellow Jackets in the 2nd annual Go Gold. As you might be aware, game days will look different as a result of COVID-19 and the present pandemic.

During this time it is important that we make everyone aware of current guidelines and risks related to COVID-19. We have guidelines and protocols in place to mitigate, not eliminate, the risks related to COVID-19. During these times, the safest practice for individuals may include not attending events. However, when attending events it is important that everyone adhere to the state of Alabama mandates related to wearing masks. All fans should wear a mask when entering the venues, and throughout the event. Furthermore, everyone should make an effort to effectively physically distance based on the 6ft social distancing guidelines, except for those living in the same household.

Fans are asked to please refrain from congregating unnecessarily, should exit the venue at the conclusion of the game and will be encouraged to respect others' space within the venue. Furthermore, for our fans that choose not to attend games in person, they can follow all the action via live stream through the Warrior Nation Network at warriornationnetwork.org. STADIUM RULES AND GUIDELINES

Due to the COVID-19 guidelines and procedures, we will operate at a limited capacity within all of our campus venues.

TICKETS AND SEATING

General admission tickets are available for purchase at the gate, via GOFAN.com, via digital kiosk, and by credit and debit cards for $12. (GoFan fees apply) All general stadium seating will be available to help ensure proper social distancing for fans. Fans are encouraged to pre purchase online and should be prepared to purchase tickets digitally on site. Tickets will go on sale each Sunday night at 6pm before the upcoming game. Tickets for the 2nd Annual Go Gold Bowl will be available to the public at 6pm on Sunday 8/16/20.
